NEW DESK BITS AND BOBS

I brought a few home ware bits and pieces for my desk that I keep all my makeup on and just generally use to get ready every day, because I thought it deserved a bit of love. I've never really bothered with making my desk all pretty as it gets kind of messy as the week goes on with my make up spread all over it, however I decided to give it some well needed attention. I have to admit that I enjoy getting ready in the morning a lot more now that my make up is nicely organised and the space just looks more pretty. Now I don't have masses of room in my sort of average size bedroom and so I've had to use the room that I do have wisely- using my brain, how original. So here it is...

this cute, metal heart shaped basket is from Next and is priced at £6.

a pretty white pencil holder from Wilkinsons, priced at around £3 I think.
This is my favourite item that I bought; it's a beautiful shabby chic, distressed looking mirror that is perfect for my desk and it was from TK Maxx, priced at £15.

Ok so now I'm going to show you how I have organised my new desk and all my makeup, aren't you lucky.

classic vaseline stack.

I used the heart shaped basket to store my everyday makeup in.

This is a vintage looking tin that held my vaselines and I have now used it to store all my palettes.
I store my lip products in this jewellery box that is mirrored on the surface and velvet type material inside and it is the perfect size.

I put all my make up brushes in the pretty pencil holder.

I hope you liked this post,

SLEEK 'LACE' PALETTE

I bought this beautiful palette from Sleek a couple of months ago but it is only now that the weather is getting more summery that I've been brave enough to wear the super bright shades. I have quite a lot of makeup from Sleek and I really like the brand; the products are really good quality, so pigmented and very reasonably priced.

The three shades are 'crochet', 'guipure' and 'chantilly' and I think they look super summery. The far left blush is a bright orange shade which might look scary but it looks lovely on the cheeks and applies more sheerly than it looks. The middle blush is a true, dusky pink with gold shimmer sprinkled through it which is the shade from this palette that I wore the most during the colder months as it is slightly more subtle and suits a paler skin tone. The last blush is my least favourite out of the three as I'm not the biggest fan of an almost neon pink blush, however I still wear it occasionally because sometimes I am in the mood for bright pink coral tones, they're so pretty. Overall this is a great palette to add a pop of colour and brighten up a look. I think this was priced at around £8 which is such good value for a really pigmented product, would definitely recommend.

IBIZA

Last week I was relaxing in beautiful, sunny Ibiza on a family holiday but now I'm back to surprisingly sunny England. I didn't get the opportunity to go on holiday abroad last year so this was a lovely, relaxing break and I loved every minute of it. I highly recommend where we stayed in Ibiza which was a town called Santa Eulalia and although Ibiza is renowned for being a wild, party island this was a beautiful, family orientated resort. Fortunately I'm still pretty tanned and making the most of the warm weather in England by bringing back the old holiday fashion. I wanted to share some pictures from my holiday with you because I personally love looking at other people's holiday snaps and also a few OOTD's which might give you ideas of some casual holiday looks.

I was looking for ages for a high waisted bikini that looked really nice but also covered up the problem areas (aka my stomach). I found some plain black high waisted bottoms from tesco which I think were only about £6 which were perfect and the bikini top, a black halter neck strap covered in a red rose print, was also from tesco, priced at around £7.

TOPSHOP WANTED LIST

I seem to spend most of my time wistfully searching the Topshop website and I obviously cannot walk past a Topshop store without walking in to have a cheeky browse. Topshop is definitely one of my top, if not the top, high street fashion store. With the new spring/ summer trends now arriving everywhere (even if the weather hasn't) I am trying to update my wardrobe with some essential key pieces.  Here is just a small list of things I am currently lusting over, let me know if you own any of these items and if there is anything you desperately want from Topshop at the moment?
